We have a aging Siemens PBX that is starting to fail (having to reboot it daily, etc.)

      What's a good replacement?

I have started testing 3CX, but now I am wondering if there is something easier.

I can use VoIP internally, but I have to use a PRI connection for external calls. (Company Policy)

Why the limitation to a PRI? From what I know, PRIs are limited to 23 (simultaneous) connections.

What kinda of company policy is that? I'd see about getting that changed. PRI cards aren't cheap.

Around here you actually can't get true PRI, It's SIP with a PRI handoff.

We have an Avaya IP Office digital phone system - IP Office. but, it's a digital phone system not an IP Phone.

We are switching to a Cisco call manager system.

You can get multiple PRIs. and many will even do half PRIs.

Company Policy. We never have more then 4 calls at a time.

You should question the company policy and try to get it changed then. If you only have 4 calls at a time a PRI is way over kill (both in size and pricing).

We already have the PRI connection, it comes with our ISP package. What would you suggest over PRI?

As much as I would like it to, the company policy will not be changed, no matter how much I beg,

A SIP Trunk. I Doubt it comes with your internet package, maybe they put the costs together so you don't see the individual. I'm sure it's in no way a freebie included with the internet.

I agree. It's not free, but we are already paying for it.

Why does the fact that you are already paying for justify counting to pay for it?

They had to run fiber to the building so we are locked in for 5 years.

                              Holy Crap.

Looks like PRI Gateways are 2K. 😞

How long ago did you sign the contract, you usually there is a MARC percentage that allows you to stop it after.

Ok? What part are you referring to that has to do with POTs lines. You are throwing out random facts that don't mean anything. Why do you needs POTS with a VoIP system? What part are you referring to that's so expensive?
