Yeah, price is in line with other VR products, but not something that I am going to be grabbing right away. Although an HTC/Steam made headset is very promising and I am going to be watching it closely. That would travel pretty easily with us and having the ability to play games without a television around is a big deal for us.

I wonder how well it will work for 2D games, as nothing more than a "personal monitor." If it worked well for that, I might really like it for that 90% of the time.

That's my understanding. It acts like a personal monitor unless it is specifically a VR game. Although that may have changed since the last time I looked.

Keep forgetting I blocked steam on the firewall so I don't spend money at work lol

Just started Path of Exile "Free on Steam" and I'm having so much fun. Currently playing a "Witch" class and going for AOE build that I googled. It's worth checking out since it's free.
