Just started Path of Exile "Free on Steam" and I'm having so much fun. Currently playing a "Witch" class and going for AOE build that I googled. It's worth checking out since it's free.

Did a bit of family game time today. Played Telltale Games Jurassic Park tonight as a family. That game is tough, but the story is really well told.

I just started the Valkyria Chronicles. I normally shy away from turn based strategy games because I find them unexciting -- sort of like tower defense games... But this one has an interesting style... Kind of a blend between X-COM and a Third Person shooter. Looks like it will be fun to play.

Bought a few cheap JRPGs on this weeks' Steam Sale. I get almost one game on any given week.

Yeah, it is. It's a different graphics engine -- I'll have to look it up again. But it does an excellent job with the animations.

Did you see that 9 has been announced? Just not released yet.

I'm anxious for FF 1, 2, 10 and 12 now. Those are the last ones that I care about now that 9 has been announced. 1 & 2 are more of "it would be nice" as I have them several places already. But 10 & 12 I would really like on PC instead of PS2.

@coliver I heard Path of Exile is like Diablo series but I can't compare them because I've only played PoE. I can compare it to Titan Quest which is almost the same but different but still the same lol.

Path of Exile is being developed by a group of former Blizzard developers who worked on by Diablo and Diablo 2. From my understanding it is the spiritual successor to Diablo 2 in almost every way. It plays identically but with some nice and needed improvements. One of the most surprising things, for me, is that the play style is significantly different then Diablo 3.
