Oxymoron quite possibly, but recently had a run in with an HP Photosmart 6520 that won't even see the broadcast SSID or accept the manually supplied SSID and WPA key.

Everyone has a different printer was hoping to find something bulky enough to cut out the majority of the "personal" printers and give the salesman the functionality they need. I think @Minion-Queen delivered.

I have an iPad that is now requiring a username and a password on my standard WPA network. ug.

The Epson Workforce series have proven to be quite reliable. We replaced our Brother with a WF2540 model (ink jet). Only con is we haven't found the right aftermarket ink for color.

I like HP but PhotoSmart are jokes for a business network. Cheap and unreliable. And crazy expensive to operate.

Take a look at the OfficeJet Pro X line. It's a pretty beefy color all-in-one with decent cost per page, scan to SMB/USB/email, fax, fax-to-email, and more. I have an X576dw, and it's been a delight to use.

I have to say the plus on the Brother MFC-9970 is that it is a laser printer that is not an ink hog. I have done a total of 15,000 color pages and 150,000 black and have only put in new toner once.

300 reams of paper on a single cartridge? How big is the cartridge, and what's your coverage percentage?

Here is the toner it takes:

They say 6000 pages but I have gotten a ton more. I do use Economy mode but that is not what I was expecting.

With all due respect, I'm going to call the BS flag. There's no way you could have pulled 2500% more pages out of a single cartridge.

All depends on what you print. As that recent study showed, even just changing a font can save like 1%. If you only print a little text or print images, it will easily change by many times more than 2,500%.

I re-read my post no typos there. I am very careful about what I print and how I print. I waste nothing.
