Full disclosure: Telecom Broker here providing an open platform for IT Pros to decide whether the Telecom cost they are paying today, or being quoted, are reasonable and not a rip-off. Provide service type (i.e. Internet, MPLS, PRI, Colo, VoIP, SIP, Cloud DR, O365, DaaS, etc.), quantity and I'll reply back with the lowest price along with provider(s) for all to see in the thread. No games, no gimmicks, no hidden agendas just a platform for all to benefit.

                Interesting.

I currently have a PRI that I pay $600/month for, but I'm ditching it in a month or so for the SIP trunks I already have as well that cost me around $300 a month unlimited mins.

$600 is too much for a PRI. Was it a integrated circuit or straight PRI?
If you are ordering 23 SIP trunks to match the call path quanity of your existing PRI then $300 is resasonable

Straight PRI. When I asked about better pricing, they just looked at me like a deer in headlights. When I called another local vendor.. same response.

I think the SIP might be 20, burstable to something like 30.

It's OK, management does not want to go with a over the internet based SIP. She's just legacy minded and currently unwilling to let go.

That's just painful. You've done you're job tho, good for you.

@gjacobse Depends on what state but a lot of carriers do abide by certain programs for Non-profits. In CA a big one is the California Teleconnect Fund

One nice thing though - pricing for unlimited is really good, and the vendor is responsible all the way into my building to their gateway device.
