What is a VDR? VDR stands for Virtual Dedicated Resources. Unlike a standard VPS package, you can split the resources you pay for into as many servers of any size you want. (Per VPS Limits HERE)

Have 12GB of RAM? You can create

      • 1 x 12GB server with 4IPs
      • 3 x 4GB servers with 1 IP each and 2 with 2 IPs
      • 1 x 6GB + 2 x 3GB servers

      The combinations are endless

@aaronstuder I have the VDR20 plan. The VM packages sell out rather quickly.

I have run disk IO tests and some of the results are nearing 600mb/s disk write speed. I don't know if that's with caching though. I can post the code i've used.

@scottalanmiller I think I get 25 IP's and can add more for like 1.00 each, I'm not certain about that price though.

I've run them in the past but I can't seem to find my tweets where I shared the link 😕

Lemme run another on the new Dallas DC!

Oh, and I don't know if this matters, but the IPv6 pool on the VDR20 plan is like 50 IP's. I never use IPv6 though.

                      CentOS6
                      CentOS7
                      Debian7
                      Debian8
                      Fedora23
                      Ubuntu12.04
                      Ubuntu14.04
                      Ubuntu15.04

All "minimal" installs. I don't really know if that's a relative term 😄

VDR4 includes 5 IPv4 for you to split up between servers. That very nice 😄

@papercape At least a couple of hours. Can you post some screenshots while you wait?

All these providers have moved to SSD. Not that I can blame them for wanting to make the systems feel really fast. That does mean that less storage is included tho, which is why I'm using ramnode personally right now.

Vultr provides SATA if you want it.

Oh, I'm sure most places offer it, they just never have any pricing on the website. When I get off work, the last thing I want to deal with is talking to more sales persons.
