Crap news about Xenserver, Scott was pretty bang on with how this was going to end up, such a shame as I've loved using Xenserver...

RE: pricing on websites
Some vendors do this with software products, I normally click off the website and move on If I can't see clear costs upfront.
I can understand projects costs can vary, but you can at least give an estimated cost per/hour, or a rough cost per devices/users.

RE: KVM in Production - Build it yourself
Text, CLI based doesn't bother me, I would like to see actual speed of VM backups using the script, and does it enable incremental backups of the VM?
-
RE: KVM in Production - Build it yourself
Although I have no issues with KVM, I wouldn't personally use it in a production environment, at least there are more backup solutions for Xenserver and Hyper-V
Even though the backup script gets the job done, I wouldn't exactly call it practical.

as none of us are doing anything illegal.
When has that ever mattered?
Do you care that you're being recorded when you walk into a bank? A grocery store? At street intersections? No. Why? Because you aren't doing anything illegal.
But you care about this, even though you have nothing to hide regarding your browsing habits?
Explain to me...
I feel very strongly for right to privacy, the argument of legality of whatever a person does is irrelevant.

RE: FusionPBX: implementing/using ??
@jaredbusch It's a brilliant product, and to be fair, I do prefer it to FreePBX. How much time have you spent on FusionPBX Jared? and what is pushing you to make the move?
-
RE: FusionPBX: implementing/using ??
I did run FusionPBX for a little while, I really liked it, web interface was clean and the product was full of features, But... I had some issues which I believe was related to NAT, Sometimes the phone would ring, and then it wouldn't ring for a while.
I switched over to FreePBX and haven't had any weird issues like that at all, could be just my setup, or the make of the phone, who knows, I didn't investigate long enough though. You might find it works out of the box for you.

I must be the only one that don't like the powershell CLI, I'd rather stick to bash any day of the week..

RE: Firefox Quantum Has Released
Just downloaded, I'm very impressed, you can defiantly see the speed increase compared to Chrome. I quite like the new look as well.
