@travisdh1 : I haven't received a "FFS" from @JaredBusch YET (still hoping!) but I did receive one from @DustinB3403. Does that count?

You were close at getting one from @JaredBusch with that statement.

    • Fix OpenVAS when not starting Scans

I have been working with OpenVAS 9 and once it hits a hung up on the openvas-scanner service with Ubuntu 18.04 you cannot start the service at all even when starting it and it stays as below no matter what.

      0_1533847384197_2018-08-09_16-41-59.png

What I do to fix it is the following

      sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove openvas9
      sudo apt-get update
      sudo apt-get install openvas9
      openvas-manage-certs -f

This remove all the application and their dependencies, then updates the packages, install Openvas and then you get to update the SSL Cert of the application. You don't lose any configuration in the process.

I also have this script to update the Database Daily:

      sudo greenbone-nvt-sync
      sudo greenbone-scapdata-sync
      sudo greenbone-certdata-sync

@pete-s said in Web app authenticate against customer AD?:

I have an enterprise customer who uses web applications on the net where the users log in with their regular login / password from the customers AD.

      How is this done?

Depending of the environment it can be a SSO setup or LDAP Connector to your AD systems.

@travisdh1 : You're assuming that getting an ffs from @JaredBusch means that I make a factually incorrect statement or suggestion. There IS a chance that he's the one in the wrong! I mean.. it can happen.. Can't it?!

It can happen, but the minute you start thinking that way it will happen sooner than later for anyone.

Very unlikely, there must be a VPN or a LDAP open externally only allowed from certain IP addresses from said Cloud vendor.

So the answer is yes it is gone through the ECP and is now in Exchange PowerDOS

Well, if you Disable a mailbox it is not shown as disabled until 24 to 48 hours in the ECp. Also deleting the mailbox doesnโ€™t translate on space save as the space is not changed on the DB.

I created Ip objects, put to a group and set the Other network to be able to view those IP's and only those IPs.

That is the way it works on Sonicwalls... been using them since 2007...
