The experience we have had was due to Dell Services and other programs running on startup. I have removed them using autoruns from Sysinternals.

Today started with a meeting with an MSP at a coffee shop in Dallas. We were set up by someone else at the company for the meeting, so the person with whom we were meeting had only heard that "Scott and Paul" were coming. So I was just "Scott" and that was all.
So we got together and got coffee, exchanged cards, but we'd already spoken by email so who really looks at business cards at that point, it's just for your wallet for later in case you need to call.
So after a bit something came up and Paul said "Oh, so you know Scott Alan Miller." The guy instantly is like "oh yeah, I'm on Spiceworks, of course I know Scott Alan Miller."
I look over at him and look at my card and I'm like "I AM Scott Alan Miller". LOL
Guy's eyes got huge, and he looks down at the card and puts two and two together. It was pretty funny.
Amazing what Internet Life and Real Life can do to you

I use CloneZilla for imaging when possible, but to do any type of imaging with Sysprep on OEM devices you will need at least one VL license to do imaging.
No one is questioning the licensing. this has nothing to do with the question of how to do it.
Don't confuse things.
I am not confusing, I am making it clear...

Luciana is working on edible slime made from marshmallows.
My daughter's started doing that lately, making slime, there's glitter everywhere!
Slime is something I do not like, sticks everywhere

Central File Sharingposted in IT Discussion
I have been looking for multiple options for a customer that wants a centralized file storage for common documents but doesn't want to host a server in-house and doesn't want to use Sync Services for storage. My recommendation would have been Nextcloud or any other services as such.
Seems to me that the company only wants the files to be accessed as a mapped drive and they don't want to manage client configuration. I am still going to recommend Nextcloud but wanted to know your recommendations as well.

I can't just get the cert?
They dont' provide certs, they are a CDN.
They can provide you the Origin SSL cert that only works using their CDN.

yes, it hasn't started but all kids are home.
When I was a kid we didn't get snow days unless there was a snowmageddon! And that was because our parents would drive us.
I still drive my kids to school, but there is no point when the schools are closed

I keep forgetting that it was a thing.

For those who live in the Linux desktop world and donโt have a way of using Visio (I assume). What are your favorite applications for network diagrams, flow charts, etc?
I recall trying Dia a while back, and Iโve used Libre Office Draw before. Iโm curious to see what else is there or commonly used.
I use https://www.draw.io/

LastPass Enterprise will integrate with your Active Directory environment. You'd be able to delegate password permissions by AD group. While I use it, I'm hesitant to recommend it.
Don't know what the other well known names are able to do in the space. I'd assume that Dashlane would have the same capability, but I haven't looked into any others in a good while now.
Dashlane should be able to compete pretty well with LastPass, but I seem to remember it being more expensive for some reason. Maybe that has changed in the last year or so.
They have a 100 free local server still but pricing can be expensive.
