@JaredBusch That is weird, both should have been allowed to do that.

RE: Eero Inquiry
@WrCombs You cannot hide your SSIDs on Eero. You also have a limit of your Main SSID and Guest Network. It is geared for Home and really small environments.

RE: Eero Inquiry
I use them at home, I ditched my Ubiquiti and the Eero Pro have been rock solid.

RE: MS RDS Server Shows 500 User Licenses Instead of What We Purchased
@scottalanmiller Weird I haven't see that, that is a new one for me.

RE: Login issues with some RDP users
@crisurqui18 We have had issues with Dell Laptops specially the Precision series when their laptop display is closed and people remote for support or they do remote to the device while it is closed and the laptop is online and it doesn't load. Once the Laptop display is opened then boom it started working, weird but it did work.

re convinced that this is a bug, some think it is just a lazy approach. But there seems to be consensus that this always happens. So the program that you buy through is the determining factor, at this time.
Is this showing in the Windows RDS Licensing or in the volume licensing website?

@notverypunny I run away from DarkTrace don't trust their business practices.

RE: What Does the V- Stand for in Microsoft Email Addresses
@JaredBusch Yup, and they want to do a audit of devices using a deployment tool that is not even a Microsoft one.

RE: Windows Server 2022 and Suspect Edge Instability
@scottalanmiller I haven't seen this. We have so many Servers 2022 and none have had this issue. Anything on the event logs? Something must be written on them.

RE: Hyper-V 2012R2 unable to add boot device
@JaredBusch Can you add an additional SCSI Controller and then add the DVD Drive to that new controller on the VM?

got an error on installing /net 3.5 ; through google-fu I found a cumulative update that didn't install, I think I'm getting closer to cracking this one open and getting it fixed
appreciate the push in the right direction.
Windows 11 install is corrupt.. according to documents from Microsoft forums about this error code I keep getting.
Followed the directions.. So now we have to reload the PC to get this fixed.
Sounds like crazy, but the Net3.5 it usually downloads from Windows Update on WIndows 10 21H1 and 21H2 so it should be the same for Windows 11.

RE: Multiple Tombstoned DC's
@Fredtx I would just remove that site from being in Active Directory sites and services entirely.

ot 11 AD sites. 1 of the 11 has 6 inbound neighbors that have not replicated since 08/2021, possibly because someone deleted the VPN tunnels to those sites, and did not look at the dependencies of that tunnel.
I'm familiar with the demoting/promoting process, including the DNS cleanup that comes with it. My question is, do I need to demote all 6 of those inbound neighbors? Or is there a better way to handle this. I read that some people have had success with using the Lingering Object Liquidator (LoL) Microsoft tool, and forced AD replication by modifying the Allow replication with divergent and corrupt partner reg key.I would demote them fully and then add them slowly each one to make sure they are being added properly to the domain.

@dashrender outbound web filtering? or web routing?

RE: "Site not secure" | Self-signed Certificate?
@scottalanmiller Okay, but lets see can we request API access to any of them yes. But doing manual work its just not great. Are you saying that you control just a subset of servers and the rest is on their own and the customer cannot give you DNS access even as a request? or is it trying not to get involved with the other vendors or DNS hosting provider?

RE: "Site not secure" | Self-signed Certificate?
@scottalanmiller I am confused, if you certbot or any other Lets Encrypt client, it can use DNS verification automatically without needing any server enabled externally. That's what I have been doing with CloudFlare and their API, are you doing something different?
I even apply it to current web facing servers so I don't need to open port 80 as well.
