Just finished migrating my UBNT WiFi controller from one computer to a rPi on DietPi - I had tried the 64b version of DietPi,.. but found that it didnt' work. so dropped back to the 32b version.
New AP arrives tomorrow and I retire the LTS models
And - just like that, the new AP is adopted and running. it's really nice to have the UBNT controller - and not having to configure devices over and over again.

Department needs access to a computer via RDP so they can process Badges (Application License issue). Let's add them to the Remote Desktop Users group at the USER level so that it's another point to have to manage when on/off boarding someone....
uh - NO. It's a Security Group. You modify the Security Group, you add the Security group to the computer. Sheesh..

Apparently we "arent supposed to know this yet" because it's gonna be dropped on everyone on Monday morning when it goes into effect - I guess. It's confusing for me that management is hiding it from us - only reason I know is my Direct supervisor told me about it because he doesn't feel like it should be kept a secret til it comes out.

Had second interview today with local technolgy distributor for a Tech Support Engineer poisition. Interview started at 9:30 and I just left a half hour ago with wirtten offer in hand (and had lunch out for the first time in who knows how long). Congrats - I have a second call tomorrow afternoon. While I'm not complaining (mainly because of just how this week has gone to the pile) it's rare that the first and second call are a week apart. But - I'll take it.

Working from home today. Eldest tested positive and wasn't feeling well. And I work in a multi-discipline clinic... Gotten a lot done being left alone and not running at Warp 9 all day.
Of course we are still in the midst of a move, spinning up the new guy (uhm... yea.. about that) and there are seven six people starting Monday and nothing has been done yet.

been a good day weather wise,.. landscaping in being worked on, got some time to test the portable station and sent a message using the radio - @jt1001001 Yeasu FT-817 and portable End Fed antenna on a 30' kitepole. Connected to a station about 180 miles away on Winlink ....
Smoker running with dinner and the bonus of some Colby and Colby Jack cheese blocks.... gonna play a little Ghost Recon in a bit before getting things running for the new week.
Was in North Carolina for work the last few days. Was close enough I decided to see the sunrise over the Atlantic.
It was high time to bring this back to the top..
Been actually taking some time to work the radio the last two weeks. Amateur Radio can be interesting and a challenge. The main thing I join in is the ARRL Field Day which is in June,.. but been keeping the radio warm the last week..
Have successfully worked from Australia and Japan to France and the Netherlands. I've never been to successful with reading that map,.. but I believe each balloon with time is where I am heard and how long ago.
