In additional to getting GB switches - I would suggest Fiber between them if possible.

If Fiber is not possible now,.. at least set the ground work for it in the future. It'll pay for itself in spades later...

My boss will never approve a expense to a person. How does he know I am not splitting the money with @Minion-Queen, and take taking a couple of paided days off lol

This is year one - There is quite a bit of work, planning and background tasks involved. An invoice should work fine with receipt. That is the reason you have both.

@Dashrender said in What happened to the website?:

This is a great point. My boss really likes an official flier, but printout from the website have been allowable.

Little things to keep working on for the future.

Expect more for next year. That is what evolution is about. It gets better over time (like a good scotch or brandy).

    • Palo Alto Networks patches critical buffer overflow bug

Researchers wait 12 months to report vulnerability with 9.8 out of 10 severity rating

Palo Alto Networks patches critical buffer overflow bug in its GlobalProtect VPN.
      DAN GOODIN - 11/11/2021, 8:30 AM

About 10,000 enterprise servers running Palo Alto Networks’ GlobalProtect VPN are vulnerable to a just-patched buffer overflow bug with a severity rating of 9.8 out of a possible 10.

Security firm Randori said on Wednesday that it discovered the vulnerability 12 months ago and for most of the time since has been privately using it in its red team products, which help customers test their network defenses against real-world threats. The norm among security professionals is for researchers to privately report high-severity vulnerabilities to vendors as soon as possible rather than hoarding them in secret.

    • Bluetooth Earbud:

I have a Plantronics Earbud. It's been great to use with my iPhone. But I have issues with it 'dropping' out from time to time. When I listen to music on it, it acts like I am losing my internet connection (I listen to Pandora about 30+hours a week...

If I am using my wired headset (which came with the phone) there is no cut outs, so it has to be a bluetooth issue. At least that is my suspected theory.

I have a BackBeat Pro, but the buds on it are not comfortable and I'm getting rid of it. It also only has a 'talk time' of 4 hours. When I spend as much time on Pandora as I do,.. four hours just doesn't cut it. My earbud has a 'talk time' of 11 hours,.. and I've killed it in a 'work day' of time.

      EarBud that I have now.

Russia may have just shot down its own satellite, creating a huge debris cloud [Updated]

The seven astronauts and cosmonauts onboard the International Space Station sheltered inside their respective spacecraft, a Crew Dragon and Soyuz, on Monday morning as the orbiting laboratory passed through an unexpected debris field.

This was not a pre-planned collision avoidance maneuver in low Earth orbit, in which the station would use onboard propulsion to move away. Rather, the situation required the astronauts to quickly take shelter.

(personal thoughts: Space pollution is a growing issue and a field in more need...)

Have you installed Spokes software for my Bluetooth Plantronics headset it has made a world of difference. Also have you updated the firmware on the headset?

I'll have to look at that.

Now I have to go back and look at my OP, did I mention that this was for my Cell phone? The desk headset has been working perfectly.

I had a user mention that they couldn't find Excel on their computer - they could launch an existing spreadsheet, but they couldn't find the icon to launch so they could make a new sheet.

I didn't know what happened - frankly I assumed HD corruption.

Then I ran into this article this morning.

    • Create GPO: Allow Access to install

      Spotify -

Spotify is being allow at a clients; Domain install with effective GPO policies including Folder Redirect. However, Spotify wants certain access to run and or install.
It does not want the ADMIN user to install (error reports install as user).

I'm not accustom to creating more complex GPOs. The install wants access to\users%username\AppData\Roaming to install / update/ run.

      Thoughts / Suggestions?
