You can do that with cURL for sure, and I expect wget.

During using Curl the file is not downloading where the link for that file is created inside the downloaded file

@Lakshmana it's possible that there just aren't drivers built into the system. You might have to install 3rd party drivers to get the wireless NIC to work.

Now trying for the Ubuntu 16 LTS.Will create a new thread if new issues arises

Why are you so determined to make CentOS work on a laptop? If you want to study for Red Hat exam, create a VM instead. CentOS hardly support hardware the requires propriety drivers.

Learning Red hat so preferred to work on Base Machine in Centos

But we talked about that in another thread, you'd never use CentOS or RHEL on the base machine in production, so you are doing exactly what you shouldn't be doing here - you are spending all of your time learning non-production fixes that wouldn't come up in the real world because you aren't treating CentOS like you should for learning.

If you wanted to learn CentOS in a meaningful way, you'd run Fedora or Ubuntu or something else appropriate on the laptop, and then put CentOS in a VM, just like you'd use on the test or in production.

Your statement should have been "Learning Red Hat so preferred to avoid putting it on the base machine."

Yes I remember already Ubuntu worked where the Fedora where the wifi didnt work. But as per your advice the Ubuntu or Fedora is good for the Base machine.I will try to install ubuntu which is stable to work with the Wifi option also ?

That and Fedora would be the best bets for it to work yes.

Last time created one thread for the Fedora where the Wifi didnt work

Even when willing to use Fedora, I can't always make it work. My big laptop has to use Ubuntu. Nothing else can install on it, not even things based on Ubuntu like Mint!

Not to sidetrack this but did you try setting nouveau.modeset=no on your boot options? My XPS 15 has an NVIDIA something in it and Fedora wouldn't even boot normally (couldn't even run the installer). If you add that to your boot line it just uses the Intel stuff and you can then add bumblebee or whatever the NVIDIA junk is called later.

May I know the location to use this ?

@stacksofplates for acpi "command not found" is the error

      You'll have to install it.

      yum install acpi

The package has one more letter in the name. Should be this...

      yum install acpid

Then you can fire it up like this...

      systemctl start acpid
      systemctl enable acpid

      Installation done but error comes
      [root@localhost ~]# sysctl start acpid
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/start: No such file or directory
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/acpid: No such file or directory
      [root@localhost ~]# sysctl enable acpid
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/enable: No such file or directory
sysctl: cannot stat /proc/sys/acpid: No such file or directory
      [root@localhost ~]#

It's systemctl not sysctl. Two different things.

      Thanks
