Is anyone using the ubiquiti unifi video software?

I am and I also have Wyze.

What cameras are you using with the Ubiquiti nvr?

Does the ubiquiti unifi only work with ubiquiti cameras

      Stolen from their forum:

the UniFi Video software (UFV) only works with Ubiquiti cameras and that the UniFi Video Cameras (UVC) only work with UniFi Video software.

Ubiquiti is on record as stating that there is no intention for UFV to support other brands of camera.

The Unifi Video software can stream an RTSP feed of each camera, but the cameras have to connect to Unifi Video first.

Just a note on this in case it's missed. All of the G3 camera's, when setting them up, provide the option for "standalone" (your own RTSP server) or "UniFi Video" (their software/hardware) in the later firmware.
I have a few G3-Flex going to BlueIris without issue and no UFV in the chain.

    • RE: New Infrastructure to Replace Scale Cluster

@scottalanmiller said in New Infrastructure to Replace Scale Cluster:

So assuming all that is correct, and there are moderately okay servers to work with (710 are pretty old, that's our retired lab stuff here, too old to really bother running typically.)

Just reading this thread top-to-bottom and wondered if anyone would mention that. OP is running 10 year old servers so the risk of downtime due to component failure has become exponentially greater.
I'm not certain if I'd be more comfortable having an HA setup between 3 very old servers or no HA on a new server (with warranty) myself...

    • RE: What is this?

That is the UEFI shell which typically means that the device is configured to boot in UEFI mode and cannot find/load the boot file/partition.

I wouldn't be that surprised. How many Dell Compellent storage servers were just Supermicro with a Dell bezel?

    • RE: Wget - Download a Web Dashboard For Local Viewing?

If the site relies on dynamic data then scraping it likely won't help.
Does the page you need to download have to update or just display static information?

Something like PhantomJS may help as it can extract the DOM or create a screenshot of exactly what is displayed on a site rather than relying on data from websockets etc.

    • RE: Powershell - The path is not of a legal form

Hey Dustin, you may already have this code in place somewhere, but what about piping the currently worked on file/path via Write-Debug so that it shows this info or, at the least, the file directly prior to it?

Also, assuming you're removing special characters and not replacing them with something else, is it possible that there is a file that contains entirely these characters and when they're removed there is no file name?

    • RE: Change Local Admin Pwd?

I'd either deploy LAPS via GP or, if you have an RMM, deploy a script that performs this task.

The fact that Chrome won't even let me go to (what I assume is) their site without warning me, I'd judge it to be malware.

I think my macho "street cred" just dropped a few points by acknowledging this... Gotta go lift heavy things now in order to compensate -- brb

      Dell Optiplex Micro 3050

I've been deploying quite a few of the HP 400 G3 devices over the last little bit. Small, lots of ports, priced well. My only complaint is that there are about 8 pre-installed HP apps that are a total waste and need to be removed before deployment.

I expect that you're missing "listen myftpserver" or similar.
