@scottalanmiller No, I disagree. Clearly you didn't understand him Scott. He wants RAID, not RAID or RAID or the other, shifty cousin "RAID".

Consumption vs Creation - if your site is not interactive you just need a dumb device to view it. If you need to interact with it, the opposite.

You should post iops numbers if you go this way, just so we can drool some more.
I'll be head of the lynch mob if he fails to post them

Well; not that I'm not looking at Dell DPACK, but its not readily accessible.
And I'd like to benchmark what I have now to compare and contrast, which aren't dell servers.
You just ask Dell for it. It's not a public download, but it is not at all hard to get.
Just be prepared for sales calls and an IPoD proposal when you send the info into Dell. They do have a ton of good info when they send you the data back though.
Or go through a partner and then none of that happens
Could one of these... partners... send us a link to download DPACK?
wink wink nudge nudge know what I mean?

That's incredible, I almost don't believe you. That's such a fundamental skill.... how did you build projects? How did you make anything to demonstrate what you learned?
Well, in any case we can fix this my friend, please see below videos.

I just purchased my ERX and an AP-AC-LR for home. It was troublesome to setup at first until I realized that eth0 was meant for WAN (I was trying to setup eth1) Once I got that, everything fell into place and I am super happy so far. Got zoneedit for DDNS setup and the AP is using the POE passthrough. This setup blows my old Asus RN66U out of the water. And it is cheaper.
Why the LR? those are nothing but marketing. You gain no real benefits from it as the increased transmit power does jack to help the device in your hand transmit BACK at a long range.
- Better signal quality (less noise / effected by noise)
- Less packet loss
- faster TX speed
- better reflection / bounce
- coffee mug warms up faster when sitting on it

RE: Laptop Batteries - where you order from?
I roll my own from thin sheets of lithium. Hardest part is keeping it from reacting with the air but it's really just a straightforward process.

Do they want PCs mounted to each desk or rackmounted? 2 different animals, one is feasible (desk mounting).
I've seen rackmounting used this way before (incorrectly and usually by manglement) to indicate desk mounting.
