@thecreativeone91 I thought that the HTML5 spec was going to have specific file and codec types specified. Was that dropped?

No. it just provides a way to present the video. It's up to the browser to support the codec. H.264 is the most common, but even then there are differnt types as it's a GOP codec there's I frames and P frames. where I frames are key frames and P frames are rendered by the computer as inbetween frames at the time of playback using a lot more cpu. All I frames take less cpu usage but are much bigger in size.

Like @tonyshowoff says I do not think they ever led. Firefox was good for a brief time, but I too always feel it is too slow to use.

I use Chrome or Safari as my default browser. I pop IE to test things and even more rarely I'll pop Firefox to test something.

I've been thinking about getting some Linux experience and developing some expertise. I do have very light experience with it. I've been in the Windows sysadmin field for about 20 years and I'm considered to be a senior engineer I would say. I'm paid pretty well and I'm sure some will say just keep getting better at the Windows world, but I'm tempted by the potential that having Linux expertise might bring to my career. Thoughts anyone?

Linux earns, generally, far more than Windows and my estimate is that the gap will only widen unless you move into DevOps style Windows management and move to pure PowerShell or other code-based tools. Linux is a growing market, growing pay rates and the demand versus available resources just keeps getting bigger.

LOL. They have a place, like in shared services where that is the only thing exposed. It can make sense. But for running stuff on your own, I find that they get in the way and make things hard and slow. And it is an extra thing to patch and secure. Running a LAMP server is so easy without a panel. Easier than a service with a panel, I swear.

That's pretty scary. Makes an argument for just hanging up and not messing with them. This takes it far beyond scamming. This is now threatening and extortion.

Scary but not quite as scary as ISIS using DMCA request to get american's personal information http://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/2lgot5/terrorists_used_false_dmca_claims_to_get_personal/

Well as the goals of ISIS and of DMCA are both purely to hurt Americans, it makes sense that they would join forces.

We are starting to grow hops on our family farm. The majority of hops progress has been cultivated from the marijuana industry, they are so closely related that many of the same signatures that they use to find grow sites can be used to locate hop farms.

Are hops grown indoors? and if so, why? Marijuana makes since - illegal - but hops aren't...

No hops are an outdoor crop. Mostly what has been discovered has to do with natural fertilization, and cultivation of different strains. Which uses techniques pioneered by the pot industry. I'm not too into it, my cousin is running most of it, but overall it is really cool. Harvesting is the same method they've used since the early 1800's, or earlier, though.

Firefox has had a nightly build of 64bit for a few years, I've used it quite a bit, it was late 2011 or early 2012 they started doing that.
