They have been my home page for years. I have looked for a new one, but never found one that gives me what they offer. As crazy as that sounds.

Those kids got lucky that they didn't get shot.
But on a side note, 19 and 16.... ... (16 will get you 20....)
Too bad the guy missed. I can assure you that if I wake up to people on my property playing the pokemens, I'll shoot to kill.
And you would end up in jail for 1st degree murder as you have obviously premeditated killing someone, of no threat to you, on public property.
You take things too seriously.... try adjusting your sarcasm detector.
I know it's sarcasm, but a local guy here killed a kid who thought he was at his friend's house. They were knocking and trying to get it, so the guy shot him. He's jailed for murder. Unrelated, but kinda shows you how the law works...at least in MA

As far as the security issue. Create a Google account that you don't really use for anything. No one said you can only have 1 gmail account.

RE: Who here plays Pokemon Go?
@nadnerB I've never played. I live in a really nice town with a ton of friendly people so watching the kids converge and have fun is cool. At first I didn't know what the hell was going on. I thought it was a field trip or something LOL

RE: Who here plays Pokemon Go?
I don't play, but I'm not opposed to it. There is a CVS on the way home that has become some kind of meeting place for it. Groups of kids converge...I think that's nice. They aren't hurting anyone and maybe...just maybe...gain a friend. Just watch where you're walking.

RE: Xfinity (Comcast) is rolling out a metered connection trial in Chicagoland and I am part of it
This reminds me of what Verizon announced this week. We get rollover minutes (yay) but they only rollover one month. They didn't do like T-Mobile, who let's you roll over for a year because (get ready to laugh) "it causes confusion to customers". What a crock!!!

RE: Over Investing Early Can Be Big Time Failure
@BBigford That is true!! They just want to protect their bottom line!! LOL
Solar actually has the biggest profit involved since it is cheap to set up the infrastructure (relatively speaking). Sill sits around 11% of the market.

RE: Over Investing Early Can Be Big Time Failure
@BBigford Big time risky. In particular the Chinese market. So funny to see the price of materials going down so far and the price of electricity going up, and yet Chinese solar companies are not growing.
-
RE: Over Investing Early Can Be Big Time Failure
@BBigford Understand. In this industry, materials are actually secondary to the investors lined up, as odd as that may sound.
66% of solar companies died in the past 5 years. A lot of it was due to not having the money lined up. It's quite sad...these are real people losing their jobs.
-
RE: Over Investing Early Can Be Big Time Failure
Interesting convo. I can't get into too much detail but in the solar industry it is ESSENTIAL to have the investors lined up. If you don't, you die.

RE: Skip Eating Meals for Better Productivity
And yet just this morning that had a segment to show downtime, specifically vacations, are important to productivity.
I don't think there is a special elixir...just how you work is the best way to work.

I don't want to derail the thread but looking up stats, I noticed the lower the legal gun ownership, the higher the gun death rates were. D.C. had to lowest gun ownership, and the highest death rate. .
Is that at a state by state granularity? At the national level that's definitely not true. Compare the US and UK.
Impossible to compare the 2. Apples and oranges.
I swear, I'm not trying to derail this thread!

And don't get me wrong, I don't think that the UK is "better together" but I also don't feel that the US is "better together." I'm a pro-Texas independence thinker and also feel that the west and east coasts should not be a unified nation but rather a group of loosely affiliated regions more like the EU than the current US. Too much difference between the regions ideologically.
That screams Dana Loesch's Flyover Nation book. Unlikely to happen, but you could see us becoming more than 1 nation.
