I seem to recall one coming to our general technicians distro, I just ignored them since it is not my job to worry about it. Other people do the licensing stuff, I just implement and go. I just searched our KB system that we add licenses to and what not and there is no mention of Solarwinds. Granted we use the free Kiwi stuff, but nothing tagged as Solarwinds.

Disk cleanup on a customers machine, Choose the Windows Update cleanup, where it rolls all the updates up in a larger patch.
Yeah! Crap.........Didnt plan on waiting 5 hours for this crap to happen.....I just wanted to run damn cleanup!

We spent a lot of time in FL at our grandparents house and for a few after being certified divers we would use his fishing boat to go out diving. Every time we asked him to help us with the tanks, he always said your welcome.

Well, that didn't go well after I got back in. Contacted vendor, going to bed...

Trying to do work for a customer and our admin account is locked out....hmmmmm
Interesting.
And of course we have timers set, so I guess I will sit on my ass for 30 minutes.

Roles were cleanly moved before shutdown. No seizing necessary.

I guess my biggest concern is what is going to happen to AD when we power up the old servers to demote them and drop them from the domain? It wont use the old Data from those DC's right? Since the roles are on one of the new servers, it is the authoritative one and says replicate from me right?

Created a bogus GPO

saw it add on all the sysvol folders.
had to refresh for it to show on the other server.
No permission mis match error.
Deleted GPO.
Gone from all.
So we can say that Sysvol is happy on all 3 servers.
Now here is to hoping the backup pause errors go away.

Got those DFS-R patches listed above installed.
Logged into the server that was complaining \servername\sysvol\domain.com\policies
Added an empty txt file.
UNC to the other DC's same sysvols, its there on both.
Deleted it from one of the newer DC's and the delete was gone across the board.
Next set of backups start in 15 min, so I will check on it in an hour.

Finished moving our #1 customer that has still been with us since the beginning 15+ years ago to Office 365 last night. Success, only some minor kinks. Checked this morning still looking good things still flowing.

Just powered off two DC's that had roles removed from it, leaving it down for a week before they are demoted.

Just fixed a bunch of servers offline with host being off and other servers not getting dns with the help of our friend idrac! Root cause I'll look Monday, rolling back into bed.

Just called it a day for work. My onsite took a helluva lot longer than hoped. Got caught up enough to deal with the rest Monday.

Yup in 24 hours it will be offline for a week, then powered back up and demoted. We need to see what breaks before demoting. No need to spin wheels to try and fix it.
All replication test I have done are clear except for the vss backup issue.
