Making good use of a search engine / search function is a skill on its own IMHO... I know quite a few people who aren't good at it, to say the least.

Google + RegEx = YASSSSS!

I'm using EXCLUDE, EXACT and OR mostly...

Does Google finally support RegEx? Couldn't find anything about at, apart from Analytics.

Use the pipe bar for OR. You can also use Google to search websites by including "site:www.website.com search terms here", just to name a couple. I've also used a website called JimmyR.com to grab RegEx and tweak it for my own uses. It's how I found an installer I needed a few years ago buried on a file server somewhere on the internet that was for Act 2000.

This is the RegEx I am referring to. It was written to pull up indexed MP3s online so you can download free music from Google. The word test in the front is me. The rest he wrote. His name is Jimmy Ruska. Cool guy. He lives in Texas.

Well the person who runs the whole office for the employer who contracts me and everyone else had his computer going crazy. Spent all day yesterday and half of today getting it re-imaged and set back up. It's not perfect, as there were things that we couldn't resolve, due to time constraints (he lives in Canada and wanted to head home and is going onsite to meet with a potential client all next week) and I got to play the hero. It was a good day overall...

Me too... and it's taken me all morning to get there... just in time for lunch, lol.

My work day goes from 11a-8p. So I'm just starting.

Glad the computer still works! Send them a bill for the damage.

Thankfully there was no damage to the equipment. We had to check for management so they could determine whether to call the police or not...but this is a very good indication of the state of my workplace...
