Asterisk 13 CRITICAL ERROR! Required Service CHAN_SIP is disabled! This device is unusable!

FreePBX 14, with Asterisk 13. After a power outage, CHAN_SIP is just "gone". Asterisk does not recognize sip commands (sip show peers) and chan_sip tabs are gone from FreePBX interface, and going into an extension that was chan_sip gives "CRITICAL ERROR! Required Service CHAN_SIP is disabled! This device is unusable!" error. From what I can tell, the system corrupted and chan_sip is... gone? Googling the error produces no results so far.

Tried updating from Asterisk 13 to Asterisk 15. Update went fine, but CHAN_SIP remains missing.

That's a new one on me.

@jaredbusch said in Asterisk 13 CRITICAL ERROR! Required Service CHAN_SIP is disabled! This device is unusable!: does chan_sip.soexist in/usr/lib/asterisk/modules/?My guess is, no. But once we determined that there was no simple restoration and all evidence of chap_sip was gone from the system, they just rolled back to a snapshot from before the outage and all is well. So we might never know.
