About to head to San Diego for the weekend. I tolerate the 3+ hours of traffic for the nice views.

With three hours you could fly to southern Mexico.

The ticket would have to be the same price as a tank of gas for that to happen 😄

I am still unknown too. Still working it on the boss.

Just schedule some time after hours to work your sexy magic on the boss....

Don't think he would quite appreciate that too much...

You won't know until you try.

@RojoLoco It's coming man. Delivery is a little slow today.

      Time zone stuff?

Yeah, you know how it is. Things get screwy around Mountain Time.

Thursdays are office lunch days. Today we opted for Chinese takeout.

The DVR is the requirement for me. I still often like to watch things the day they are released, but time shifted 30 mins so I can skip commercials.

Same, but just might watch it when life lets me.

yep, I'm in the same boat. It's not unusual for me to go a week and miss almost everything... then I would be fine with typical streaming..

But I'm not a fan of Hulu's crap ads. And my friends who have paid the higher no ad version said there are still ads, so - yeah no thanks.

I put up with the ads because I cut the cord a long time ago, so I reason that I can stand a few since I'm not bombarded with them all the time.

@scottalanmiller That's such an interesting undertaking to me, mostly in the construction aspect of it all. I imagine a lot of red tape concerning international waters and land rights?

Probably why only the companies that can afford it do it.

    • Under the sea with SMB

We all know about Microsoft's proposed undersea data center, but now large-scale data and cloud companies are laying their own undersea cables to gain access in places that wouldn't have high-speed access points.

A proposed deal would put cable in between Hong Kong and Guam, making 100 gigabit the standard in the Pacific, and giving data centers and businesses alike the chance to take advantage and offer greater connectivity for SMBs.

    • RE: How many online SEO tools are you using and which is the best?

Most of the Google tools, plus SEMRush, Ahrefs, Moz Bar, Raven Tools, and Open SEO Stats, SEO Quake.

They're all incredibly similar, but much like most software, some provide different insights or tools that others don't.

      Looks pretty cool.

I'm surprised he's legally allowed to do this. Aren't there all kinds of laws about this?

It's really no different then the Tesla Autopilot. It controls steering and speed. As long as he is behind the wheel and not distracted, in most states, then he is probably fine.

So it still can't do the one thing it needs to do... drive me home drunk. I'll keep waiting, I have no use for an "autonomous" car that I have to pay attention to and babysit.

Pretty much yes. I don't think that is necessarily a technical limitation but maybe a legal limitation.

He's in Nebraska, which is currently in the midst of attempting to sign legislation.

That's probably why he has to do it at night.
