I am an indirect CSP but I do not handle any non-profit organization.
My customers can see the subscription but they cannot change the licenses assigned to it from the Office 365 Admin portal; they need to request the addition/subtraction to my company or use the portal of my direct CSP. They can request the cancellation of a subscription but we need to authorize it.

The client is able to have subscriptions with more than one reseller and directly with Microsoft.

Thanks. That clarifies some worries we had about being trapped with a bad CSP.

@JasGot In my company, we use XCP-ng on 4 small hosts with maybe 10 VMs on them (2 Win RDP servers, few Linux fileservers...). We manage them with XCP-ng center (Windows app) in LAN and with Xen Orchestra remotely. We are very satisfied with XCP and management is pretty simple. We are no experts but beginners.
We cloned some VMs, copied them from host to host, added additoinal storage after installation...

I tried to install KVM few times and I find it confusing to setup and manage.

yeah, in this case - if their old PBX doesn't support it - they will be required by law to get a new PBX.

Fortunately, the rules are pretty forgiving for a lot of businesses. (under 7,000sq ft).

I had to inquire about my office - we are 14,500 sqft, definitely have to split the building - at least there is a good dividing line here.

Our other building has two floors, so I'll have to split them by floors.

      You can install via Chocolatey.

does this clutter up chocolatey though? because the official down load is a replacement for Edge with Credge and updates come from Windows update like normal.

Yes it would clutter up chocolatey just like Google Chrome or any other applications that can auto updates itself. Also chocolatey uses the MicrosoftEdgeEnterpriseX64.msi installer just like Google Chrome MSI file.

After it's installed, you do see it shows up in Program and Features unlike the installer from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge.

It probably actually finished in the background and the gui was just hung. I wouldn't be surprised if you rebooted it and it told you it was preparing windows 10 for you and then booted up with the new environment.

@JasGot said in Best Plex player to use with a non smart tv or as a portable HDMI player?:

@NashBrydges I looked at these. The Rokus do not present themselves as a mobile device, so this means I cannot use the Plex SYNC feature. This wouldn't really be that bad if it had internal storage it can play from. Managing everything from Plex would be nice, but I wouldn't mind copying stuff to an SD card or USB stick if I needed to.

Do you know if any of the Rokus can play from local storage while offline?

No, you're correct. While I haven't tried, they are supposed to be able to play content from a USB connected drive. That being sai, if you're looking at Plex, I'm assuming you have a Plex server installed. I have my Plex server in the datacenter and I can play content from that server from anywhere in the world using my Roku device. No transcoding required from the Plex server since the Roku handles all of that heavy lifting. The only thing required is to make sure your outbound bandwidth would allow full feed of your video files via internet from your Plex server. If you want this to run like this, you'll need to expose port 32400 (or other custom port you designate) to the internet otherwise all playback is handled through the Plex.tv servers and your playback will be throttled to 2Mbps max. I've been able to play a 70Mbps 4k HDR10 video from a remote location at full bandwidth this way.

No common denominator yet, other than they are all windows servers 2008R2 and 2012.

We came in today to more than 10 servers stuck in update loops at 10 different customers. The loops went on for hours until they finally reached Update 5 of 5 and then reverted themselves.

Two of them required interrupting the startup and choosing safe mode, to nudge it along.

      I need a nap!

Yeah, this has been lately the issue noted here:
      https://www.askwoody.com/2019/windows-server-2012-not-r2-goes-into-reboot-loop-after-installing-net-patch-kb-4533096/

I needed to do this for a couple of customers.

I saw that too, thanks. I have all Unifi Ap-AC-Pro with 4.0.66.10822 firmware. I have the same experience with all firmware versions. I went back about ten revisions.

I've been having some network performance issues at home since upgrading to 4.0.69.xxx - though I didn't put 2 and 2 together until I was researching fixing my Cloud Key and ran into that thread.

My reasons for a low-end switch with SFP ports was also due to warranty. Most of the stand-alone media converters have a 1 year warranty. I can get Netgear, D-Link, etc with a Lifetime Warranty. Made sense in my application.

Thanks. This will be good to make sure I don't miss any high points to demonstrate why it is a bad idea for this particular business.

The main "bad" is the complete lack of any benefits.

That's the real crux... absolutely zero reason to even consider it. Tons and tons of negatives, and what seems like no positives.

that's broadcast, doesn't apply to streaming.

When looking at the copyright issues of broadcasting (playing over speakers or display devices) streaming content for public viewing/listening in your office or restaurant, streaming is considered the same as a television or radio broadcast . So the copyright laws regarding playing TV or radio in your office also apply to streaming content.

I have used the Nk2edit And you can push it to the Office Cloud Autocomplete from an NK2 or the Stream file. However when Nk2edit can’t read a file it is usually corrupted and you need a previous version of the file.

The current file is usable under the in house exchange,, and I have restored a few versions from backup.. Still no luck.. I may just be SOL.
