@Richard_Cylance That's great, and I think we're all happy to have someone here.

Let's talk first steps then if you really want to fix the image problem Cylance is currently facing. Has the user agreement been updated to allow third party testing yet?

I think that that sums up the concerns that I have seen. This should be fixed before anything else is done.

The issue we had was not with a customer, but with a reseller breaking their terms and conditions they agreed upon.

This doesn't really make sense. The reseller got in trouble for how their customer used the product? Whether pressure is put on end users directly or through their reseller, the end result is the same.

Good idea to track that stuff even when a doctor doesn't tell you to. Like in IT, creating a baseline before something happens makes it easier to tell when things change because you know what "normal" is like!

@BRRABill Can't be more than $2!! Right? Memory at that size is so freaking cheap!! Seems like 2GB would be a more logical minimum size.

$2 multiplied by 500,000 units - not going to happen lol

You can easily charge $3 for that kind of upgrade, though!!

well, it's not a bad idea, nowadays computers have huge amounts of ram so swap is rarely used, and what is the benefit of a swap partition unless you have it in a separate drive?

Good point. And it makes swap more flexible. Need more, just grow it. Need less, shrink it. You can easily decide later and change quickly without interruption.

Are you doing anything to monitor the internal temperatures of the servers in your server room? That is the temperature that matters most.

actually i know the temperature by the degree of the air conditioner

Actually that is exactly the mistake I was trying to help you to avoid. The AC unit can't tell you that. Airflow determines how much cooling the servers get and you can only tell how well things are working by asking the server to monitor itself and tell you the internal temperature. Nothing on the outside can tell you. It's a common mistake by new IT people in the data closet to think that keeping the air cool will keep the servers cool.

The Office 365 suite is really nice because of the high degree of integration. Google Apps has just as good integration but lacks the broad set of applications. It's having both the integration as well as the local MS Office suite, the really large set of MS Office components and the mix of Exchange and SharePoint that brings it all together.

Thankfully for her this is really a "fifteen minutes of fame" kind of thing. She removed her Twitter account and it never had her full name. As long as she isn't in her home town doing certain types of jobs she will be quickly forgotten and this has the potential to be nothing but a blip in her job history and a good learning opportunity. She really did little real damage to herself outside of not getting a paycheck this week and feeling like an idiot, if she even realizes what a dumb move it was.

My wife needs a new phone badly. She may get the galaxy 8, but these others look just a great.

I'm eyeing the Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom myself.

That's the one I've been shoving in her face actually! Hmm, not the Zoom, the other one.... let me look.

It was a ZenFone 3, 5.2"... I thought it was the Deluxe but now I'm not so sure. I also showed her the Selfie version lol, not so sure about that though.

Isn't that only like $199? Cheap and looks pretty nice.
